Enter Now To Win A Custom Engine Built By Sonny Leonard At PRI 2019

Following last year’s record-setting success, Sonny Leonard and the team from Sonny’s World Class Racing, in Lynchburg, VA, is building another high-performance engine for the Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstakes at the 2019 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show.

2019 marks the 31st year of the Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstakes, held annually in conjunction with the PRI Show. All proceeds will once again go to Victory Junction, a camp for children living with serious medical conditions founded by NASCAR’s Petty family. Last year’s sweepstakes raised more than $102,000, crushing the previous record of $59,000.

“I got a message recently from Kyle Petty thanking our company for building such an exotic engine,” said Leonard. “He told me to design the next engine even larger. I always try to build the best engine I can for every application, and we’re going to build another unique prize for 2019. It’s a special honor to build an engine when the donations we raise help so many children.”

This year’s engine, a 762-cubic inch, 1,400 HP beast, is even bigger than last year’s custom-built 727-cubic inch engine and will include: Sonny’s entirely in-house ported hemispherical cylinder heads, Sonny’s/Brodix 5.000 B.S. block with 1.000” raised cam and special hi-flow water jackets, a Bryant billet crank, Carrillo steel billet rods, and more.

One winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstake booth (No. 852 near Machinery Row) on Saturday, December 14, at 2:00pm. The winner does not have to be present to win.

For more than 30 years, Sunnen, PRI, and many well-known engine builders and manufacturers have teamed up to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities within the racing community. Raffle tickets for this year’s Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstakes can be purchased online until Sunday, December 8, 2019, or during Show hours on the PRI Trade Show floor at the Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstakes booth (No. 852 near Machinery Row).
