The National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) and the National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA) will honor the late Bob Curran, a former NMCA champion, during this year’s Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing held July 25-28, 2019, at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.

Moving forward, the NMRA vs. NMCA match race at the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing will be known as the Bob Curran Memorial Super Bowl Shootouts. The event, which takes place at Curran’s home track, was one of his favorite events on the schedule.

In celebration of his life, the Curran family is offering a $500 bonus prize to each match race winner on top of the winning team winning the prestigious Nitto Tire Diamond Tree ring.
