Whelen Engineering, an emergency warning equipment manufacturer based in Chester, Connecticut, is partnering with Mazda Motorsports to become the new title sponsor of the Mazda MX-5 Cup series beginning in 2024.

The 14-race, IMSA-sanctioned season begins on January 25 as part of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

"Whelen has been a mainstay of the racing industry for decades and everyone at Mazda MX-5 Cup is thrilled to become a part of that family," said Jonathan Applegate, Mazda Motorsports senior program manager. "Having a strong partner like Whelen enables us to take the series to the next level and get more eyeballs on the series."
