During the recent FIA World Motor Sport Council, members approved the appointments of five women as either commission presidents or chairpersons.

Pernilla Solberg, Sweden, was selected president of the FIA World Rally Championship Commission, while Emilia Abel, Estonia, was named president of the FIA Road Sport Committee, and Burcu Cetinkaya, Turkey, was elected chair of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. Additionally, Elise Racette, Canada, was chosen as chair of the FIA Volunteers and Officials Commission, and Natalie McGloin, U.K., was re-appointed as chair of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission.
