Officials of WISSOTA Auto Racing and the newly named PolyDome Dirt Track Series announce that the Sheridan Speedway in Sheridan, Wyoming, will re-open in 2015 and will sanction WISSOTA Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mod Fours weekly during its 2015 season.

Sheridan Speedway last hosted weekly racing action in 2006 as a WISSOTA-sanctioned facility, and the midwest sanctioning body, which emphasizes track promoter ownership and decision-making, is ecstatic to have the speedway back open.

WISSOTA Executive Director Terry Voeltz said, "It’s great for our western region to have another track available for racers and fans and it’s also great to see Sheridan re-open for the simple fact that it was a nice, well-attended facility back in the early 2000s and should be again in 2015 and beyond.”

Sheridan’s new owner, Craig Draper, purchased the real estate last fall and has been busy working on resurrecting the facility, which has sat dormant for the last nine seasons. Draper has hired Cary Berry-Smith to promote Sheridan Speedway, which will open on May 8 and will run weekly events throughout the end of August this season.
