Amalie Oil Announces LA-Based Acquisition

Amalie Oil Co., the independent lubricant manufacturer with operations in Tampa, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina, is in the process of acquiring Lubricating Specialties Co. (LSC).
LSC operates three production facilities in Los Angeles, California. The company, which will now operate as of AOCUSA, produces over 25 million pounds of grease and other specialty products, according to published reports. The acquisition does not include LSC's Jamaica subsidiary.
"Both companies have a rich history and strong culture of quality and service. Combining the companies will enhance our ability to service our customers at the highest level," Amalie Oil President Harry Barkett said in a statement.
