Officials from the NTT IndyCar Series have announced that, due to restrictions in Ontario focusing on COVID-19, the Honda Indy Toronto event will not be rescheduled or replaced this year. As a result, the series will remain with a 16-race schedule for 2021.

“We are thrilled the season will continue next month with a memorable July 4th race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, which has hosted the NTT IndyCar Series since 1980. It will be followed by an action-packed August with a fantastic inaugural event on the Streets of Nashville (August 8), another historic NASCAR-IndyCar weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (August 14), and the final oval of the season at World Wide Technology Raceway (August 21),” the sanctioning body stated.

“The 2021 season will wrap with an epic West Coast swing at legendary circuits of Portland International Raceway (September 12), WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (September 19), and the Streets of Long Beach (September 26).”
