Melling has announced that phase one of its 10,000-square-foot North American Research and Development Tech Center facility in Jackson, Michigan, has been completed.

With the opening of this new Tech Center, Melling's capabilities have doubled, and include the ability to test oil pumps and water pumps for performance and durability, as well as work on prototype assembly.

There are five Melling employees on staff in the facility, with expansion plans of adding nine more.

Currently Melling has several innovative products and concepts in the pipeline being tested in the new Tech Center.
