Distinguished Speakers Sign On For Business Seminars At 2013 PRI Trade Show

With several months remaining before the 2013 PRI Trade Show arrives in Indianapolis, a number of top-level speakers have already been slotted to present business education seminars at the world’s premier gathering of motorsports professionals.
Returning to the PRI Show after a hugely successful turn in 2012 is Tom Shay of Profits Plus in St. Petersburg, Florida. A lifelong small business owner and manager, Shay has authored 12 books on small business management and a college textbook on small business accounting. He has also produced hundreds of articles on management for over 75 business publications worldwide.
This year, Shay provides his insights to owners and operators in the highly acclaimed presentation, “Strategies To Win in a Challenging Economy,” which includes his list of what to do, what not to do, and what to stop doing in order to effectively operate and market a small business. Retailers will learn firsthand how to adapt their game plan to meet the challenges of a changing consumer and economy.
Shay’s seminar will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. There is no charge to attend for registered Trade Show attendees.
All new for 2013, professional racer-turned marketing and business strategist Tom Marx will discuss how small businesses can benefit from tracking and understanding sales, marketing, public relations and social media figures.
In “Marketing Metrics That Matter,” Marx utilizes proven techniques to help business owners establish benchmarks and goals, as well as determine how to adjust their marketing budget and focus to best accomplish those goals.
Following several years as a professional racer in SCCA, IMSA and FIA, Marx has since honed his skills in business development, marketing strategy and communications support services. He is an active member of SEMA, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).
Marx’s seminar will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the Indiana Convention Center. There is no charge to attend.
