Western RPM Workshop Moves To Vegas

The Western National RPM Promoters Workshop will gather short track promoters in a new location this year: Las Vegas.
The Workshop convenes November 11-13 in Las Vegas, replacing its 30-year December run in Reno. The Workshop, last convened in Las Vegas in 1977, will take place at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino, a leading off-strip property.
“We enjoyed a great run in Reno at the Eldorado. The Eldorado was great Workshops partner and we recommend it to anyone going to Reno,” said Stewart Doty, Workshop Chairman. "However, the Palace Station and Las Vegas, with their value pricing, proximity to the strip, the earlier dates, and the popular, IMCA-sanctioned, Duel in the Desert at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, offer promoters the perfect idea starter and racing getaway that will give them a leg up on 2016 season planning.”
The 1000-room Palace Station is located five minutes from the strip and within an easy-on, easy-off freeway drive to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Planning for the Workshop is underway and information on speakers and sessions, and lodging for the New RPM@ Vegas and the RPM@Indy and RPM@Daytona Workshops will be posted to the RPM website and published in Racing Promotion Monthly soon.
The RPM Promoters Workshops are produced by Racing Promotion Monthly, the idea newsletter for auto racing promoters, published year-round with the support of K&K Insurance Group, Inc., Hoosier Racing Tire. The new RPM@Vegas Workshop is the first of three Workshops of the 43rd Annual RPM Promoters Workshops Series.
After the RPM@Vegas, the series moves to Indianapolis for the one-day RPM@Indy Workshops on December 9, in the Media Center at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The series concludes in February 2016 with the RPM@Daytona Workshop at the Hilton Daytona Beach Ocean Walk Village, Feb. 14-16, 2016.
