Motorsports photographer and Sprint Car Hall of Famer Mike Arthur has passed away, the museum announced.

Arthur contributed photos to many racing publications, including PRI Magazine and Open Wheel, among others.

"PRI is sad to learn of the passing of legendary motorsports photographer Mike Arthur," said PRI Magazine Executive Editor Meredith Kaplan Burns. "Mike's photos have graced the pages of PRI Magazine since its inception. We will miss his quick wit and seeing him with a camera in hand at the racetrack. Our thoughts are with his wife Nan and their family."

Arthur was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa, as part of the class of 2015.
