In the muscle car era, few people ordered air conditioning on a new performance car. It was an expensive option, seen as adding weight to the car and sucking horsepower from the engine.

Today, however, the mature muscle car enthusiasts appreciate the comfort as much as the rumble of a hefty V8. Having power steering and power brakes no longer carries the negative stigma it once did, and now neither does air conditioning.
