2014 NMCA Flowmaster Muscle Car Nationals Event Schedule Released

The 2014 NMCA Flowmaster Muscle Car Nationals’ event schedule will feature the world’s fastest street cars and special events that will add to the excitement. With a solid schedule that will bring more heads-up traveling racers, NMCA looks to have its biggest event season ever with drag racers and show competitors traveling from all around to participate.
NMCA will open its season with the 12th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, March 20-23. Watch as all the cars and all the stars of NMCA drag racing set their combinations on kill to start the season on top. The Florida destination makes this a popular event for the weather and the grand stage to debut the latest and greatest cars and combinations for the new season.
Next, the NMCA series will travel up the road to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, the weekend of April 10-13 for the 6th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. Both NMRA and NMCA racers converge on one facility to let loose a fury of horsepower in one of the largest muscle car events of the year. Nearly 600 cars hit the asphalt in search of glory and the prestigious NHRA Unleashed Wally trophy. Throw in a car show with over 300 vehicles and a massive manufacturers midway and you can see why this is the quickest growing race on the schedule.
NMCA is pleased to announce its return to Gateway International Raceway in Madison (St. Louis), Illinois, the weekend of May 23-25 where the world’s fastest street cars will have an all out muscle car slug-fest. This St. Louis event is extra special as Nostalgia Super Stockers from all around the U.S. will join NMCA’s racers for the Dave Duell Classic—the largest Nostalgia Super Stock event of the year.
Witness history as NMCA and NMRA compete side by side once again at the 9th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, the weekend of July 10-13, one of only two events that feature both series at the same time. Watch NMCA and NMRA superstars compete in their own series heads-up classes all weekend long…and then go head-to-head as team NMCA takes on team NMRA for world famous Nitto Tire Diamond Tree Super Bowl Rings. Last year team NMRA took this winner-takes-all Super Bowl competition 6 to 5.
Head out to awesome Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, the weekend of August 21-24, to the 8th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. Billed as “America’s Racetrack,” Summit Motorsports Park offers the best customer service and amenities around to NMCA’s racers and fans. Special events abound at this race with the Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series and the Detroit Big-3 Shootout. Witness the best in LS racing featuring five LSX race classes that will get wheels-up and wild! Only NMCA can bring you the Detroit Big-3 Shootout, which will feature Ford Racing Cobra Jets taking on Chevy COPO’s and Mopar Drag Paks! There will also be a special Big-3 True Street Shootout where Team Ford will take on Team GM and Team Chrysler for major bragging rights! From 5-second Pro Street cars to factory supplied Cobra Jet race cars and the hottest LSX racers in the land—Norwalk will come alive with action, excitement, and fun.
The 13th Annual NMCA World Street Finals will once again take place at historic Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana, the weekend of Oct. 9-12. It’s only fitting the home of the world’s largest drag race, the U.S. Nationals, will also host to the largest muscle car event of the year! The NMCA World Street Finals has racers putting their machines “on kill” in search of world championships and exclusive Nitto Tire Diamond Tree champions rings. This extra special event will showcase everything from 6-second 200+ mph Super Street 10.5W cars to wheel-standing Street Outlaws and everything in between. The TREMEC True Street class has averaged well over 100 competitors the past 2 years and is testimonial to the crazy street-legal performance possible with American muscle cars. This 2014 event will also feature the 8th Annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout, the undisputed largest gathering of LS performance in the world. Big money, LSX blocks, custom awards, and jackets are up for grabs, courtesy of Chevrolet Performance, and incredible ¼-mile performances are sure to dominate the LSX Shootout!
Each NMCA national event also feature a huge Hot Rod & Muscle Car Show, where you will find a sea of colors as hundreds of all-domestic car show participants shine up and show off their awesome late-model and early hot rods and muscle cars. Magazine editors will be drooling as they search for cover cars & features amongst rows of stock and modified show cars.
