PRI EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL OFFERINGS FOR 2018 TRADE SHOW
New outreach efforts and resources aimed at promoting international business among motorsports professionals will be evident at the 2018 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, held December 6–8 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Now in its 31st year, the world’s premier event for racing and performance buyers, suppliers and service providers will indeed offer more opportunities than ever for industry members from some 70 countries to make valuable connections, forge partnerships, and exchange information at one time in a single location.
In addition to offering a dedicated International Lounge, and providing translators to help overseas guests better communicate and conduct business, Show officials this year will host international media from key regions of the world to facilitate global coverage of the PRI Show. Special events like the International Motorsports Trade Seminar, the International Council of Motorsport Sciences’ (ICMS) Annual Congress, and the all-new International Networking Reception will be of particular interest to PRI’s global audience.
“Every year, thousands of attendees from more than 70 countries attend the PRI Trade Show to see the latest trends and products in the global motorsports industry,” said PRI General Manger Bill Miller. “Because of motorsports’ unrivaled international presence, and the growth in racing series and events such as the FIA World Rallycross Championship, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Formula 1 racing, we increased our media activities and overall international outreach efforts.”
The International Lounge, a dedicated area designed specifically to meet the needs of international attendees, features private meeting rooms, Wi-Fi, printer access, credential badge pickup, and interpreters from several countries who are available by appointment at no charge to assist during meetings. Visitors can also enjoy an espresso or cup of tea in a relaxed atmosphere with other racing industry businesspeople from all over the world.
Now in its third year, PRI’s International Motorsports Trade Seminar showcases expert panelists with experience in international trade providing essential information and insights for overseas buyers seeking to do business with—or increase their imports from—domestic motorsports parts and service providers. This session, which takes place from 8–9 a.m. on Friday, December 7, at the Indiana Convention Center, will be moderated by Linda Spencer, SEMA’s Sr. Director of International and Government Affairs.
Visas are required for all international travel into the United States, and PRI can provide a Visa letter to attendees once they have registered for the PRI Show. The PRI Housing team can also assist in securing a hotel room—simply call 949/499-2044 or 866/635-6600, or email travel@performanceracing.com.
