The Approved Body Configuration (ABC) Committee has finalized the ABC Official Rulebook 11.0.

The ABC Body Program establishes an industry-wide standard for the design, construction and technical inspection of bodies in offset template late models in North America. The uniform body rules across tracks nationwide aim to increase field sizes for special events and attract cars from multiple series and tracks, according to the organization.

Developed by a 10-person committee of industry members, the rulebook contains program goals, comprehensive guidelines and dimensions for the assembly and inspection of ABC bodies, the group said.

The committee includes three non-voting members—Marty Melo, chairperson; Corey Schultz, Five Star Race Car Bodies; and Dave Kamholtz, AR Bodies—and seven voting members—Dan Garber, Northwest Super Late Model Series; Kip Childress, CARS Tour; Freddie Query, ASA Stars National Tour; Todd Thelen, Slinger Super Speedway; Tim Bryant, ASA Southern Super Series; Tim Huddleston, CARS Tour West; and Brent Roy, Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series.

The updated rulebook is available at abcbodyprogram.com.
