IHRA Acquires Milan Dragway (MI), National Trail Raceway (OH)

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) has finalized its acquisition of two Midwestern drag strips, Milan Dragway in Milan, Michigan, and National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.
Milan Dragway, located 40 miles west of Detroit and 25 miles south of Ann Arbor, has previously hosted IHRA national and pro-am events, and will see changes to its 2025 schedule, IHRA officials said.
Johnny Quick, the grudge racer from Street Outlaws and a 28-year veteran of racing at Milan Dragway, has been named the track manager.
Improvements to the track surface and pits are currently underway, and additional upgrades will extend to the grandstands, restrooms, concessions and other areas, the IHRA said.
National Trail Raceway features a quarter-mile drag strip, which had its concrete ground just last week, and upgraded bleachers to make it more comfortable for spectators. The Ohio drag strip is capable of hosting national events as well as being home to a bracket racing program, according to track officials.
