After nearly seven decades of operation, Rockford Speedway in Loves Park, Illinois, is auctioning off its equipment, assets and memorabilia in an online sale scheduled to conclude on June 3, 2024. 

Items available for bidding will be organized across four online rings. Among the offerings are grandstand bleachers, food and concession equipment, track and shop equipment, and Rockford Speedway memorabilia. Over 1,200 lots will be offered via the four rings.

"For years we have watched the surrounding area evolve into a vibrant retail corridor. The auction is the final step in the Last Lap for Rockford Speedway," said Tom Deery, speaking on behalf of the Deery family, who owns the propery. "This day has been coming and it stings for the thousands of fans and racers who have made Rockford Speedway their 'family' for generations. This auction presents an opportunity for enthusiasts to acquire cherished pieces of the Speedway's legacy and continue its story elsewhere."

Interested parties can preview the auction items on Wednesday, May 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bidding will begin on Monday, May 27, and conclude on June 3. Each of the four rings will have staggered closing times.
