National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame & Museum Now Open
Hours for Memorial Day weekend are Saturday, May 23, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Sunday, May 24, 12–5 p.m.; and Monday, May 25, 12–5 p.m. The museum currently features a special exhibit honoring the late Greg Hodnett's sprint car racing career.
“We have been very busy here at the museum even though our doors have been closed,” National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Executive Director Bob Baker said. “We’re excited about the prospects of visitors, but want them to be advised to practice social distancing... use hand sanitizers, and stay safe.”
The museum is following COVID-19 precautions and guidelines implemented by the governor of Iowa and the Iowa Department of Public Health. This includes temporarily closing the iRacing simulator, the Rick Ferkel “sit-in” car, and all touchscreens.
NSCHoF & Museum officials advise those who are sick, or those who are especially susceptible to severe complications with the virus, to refrain from visiting at this time.
In related news, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) announced the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set to take place Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, in Knoxville, Iowa.
