George Poteet, the legendary land speed record-setter and hot-rodding icon, has passed away at the age of 75.

He was known for his record-breaking land speed piston-powered streamliner, "The Speed Demon 715," which secured a new land speed record of 470.015 MPH in August 2020. SEMA and PRI send their condolences to the Poteet family.
