Wiscasset Speedway (ME) Honors Inaugural Hall Of Fame Class

Wiscasset Speedway, the 3/8-mile, high-banked asphalt track in Wiscasset, Maine, honored its inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2019 last weekend during its 50th-anniversary celebration.
The induction ceremony took place Saturday, July 27, ahead of its Pro Stock, Super Street, Thunder 4 Mini, 4-Cylinder Pro and Flex event. The ceremony, which included the unveiling of the new Wiscasset Speedway Hall of Fame display, also ended with fireworks.
The following inductees are a group of individuals who have had a significant and lasting impact specifically to the success of Wiscasset Speedway:
Buster & Elaine Grover
Bill Bailey
Lawrence Reno
Doug Ripley
Dave St Clair
Ken Siegers
Teddy Palino
Vern Hodgkins
Harold Hinkley
Dale Chadbourne
Willis Alexander
Leo Tanger
Special recognition was also given to the Cronk family who started the speedway, as well as the History Committee, HoF Voting members, and Andy Austin and George Brockman of the Maine Vintage Race Car Association.
Track officials encourage fans to nominate individuals who contribute to the success of the track for its next class of inductees.
