BILSTEIN has announced a partnership with motorsports engineer Kevin Rumley. Skilled and well respected in the racing community, Rumley specializes in automotive and motorsports component design, vehicle dynamics and technical consulting.
“I’m thrilled to work with BILSTEIN and contribute to its long tradition of excellence,” Rumley said. “It’s an exciting time at the company and I look forward to advancing Bilstein’s product offering in the circle track market.”
Rumley has extensive experience in developing patents and has also worked with both GM and Ford to design technical systems. He will collaborate with BILSTEIN Head of Motorsports Aaron Morey and the team based in Mooresville, North Carolina.
“I’m very excited to bring Kevin Rumley over to Bilstein Shocks,” Morey said. “I’ve known Kevin now for 14 years and we’ve been able to work together on other projects, so I’ve seen his work ethic and ideas come to life. Having Kevin Rumley energize our team will help us innovate quicker and come to market with solid products ready to win.”
In 2015, Rumley was named crew chief of the year/car owner champion of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series driver Jonathan Davenport. His involvement includes developing and CAD designing the Dirt Late Model chassis for well-known builder Longhorn Chassis.
BILSTEIN manufactures monotube gas pressure shock absorbers with headquarters in Germany. BILSTEIN America, Inc. has four locations in the US and distributes more than 3,500 part numbers into the US aftermarket.
