Rolex 24 at Daytona Winner, Indianapolis 500 Veteran Rocky Moran, 74
1993 Rolex 24 at Daytona winner and three-time Indianapolis 500 participant Rocky Moran has passed away. He was 74.
Moran began competing in the 1970s in sportscar and open-wheel categories, participating in Trans-Am, Formula 5000, INDYCAR, Can-Am and IMSA GTO and GTP classes. He won the 1993 Rolex 24 at Daytona for All American Racers, partnering with Mark Dismore and PJ Jones, and also made 30 career INDYCAR starts, including three Indianapolis 500s.
