SPEEDiagnostix Opens To Offer Expert, Expedited Used Oil Analysis Services

Former NASCAR driver and 1978 FIA World Karting Champion Lake Speed announced today the formation of SPEEDiagnostix, an expedited oil analysis service catering to racers, engine builders and performance enthusiasts.
“Our family’s experience in the racing industry led to the recognition of the need for fast turnaround used oil analysis,” Speed said. “SPEEDiagnostix provides data and analysis that draws from decades of racing, engine building, oil blending and used oil analysis experience.”
Tailored to meet the unique needs of racers, enthusiasts, engine builders, performance parts manufacturers and classic car owners, SPEEDiagnostix provides expedited, expert used oil analysis services.
“In my role as Head of R&D for Driven Racing Oil, I know the advantages of used oil analysis,” Certified Lubrication Specialist Lake Speed, Jr. said. “However, the traditional labs that service industrial and fleet accounts miss some of the subtleties that are important when analyzing samples from race engines and other high-performance engines. It is not that other labs are bad. It is just a matter of experience.”
The day-to-day operations of SPEEDiagnostix are handled by Caroline Speed, the granddaughter of Lake Speed and daughter of Lake Speed, Jr.
SPEEDiagnostix provides services via pre-paid oil analysis kits, offering single sample, expedited kits to multi-sample, standard turnaround kits.
