PRI Show Launches With More Than 1,000 Exhibitors
The 2024 PRI Show opened its doors today at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Running from December 12-14, 2024, the event brings the entire racing community together to celebrate and shape the future of motorsports.
"The PRI Show is more than an event--it's where the entire racing industry comes together to connect, innovate, and drive the future forward," said PRI President Michael Good. "From the latest technologies on display to the valuable insights shared in our education sessions, this year's Show reflects the strength and resilience of motorsports. We're thrilled to see so many new and returning exhibitors and attendees joining us in Indianapolis."
Kicking off the day at the Grand Opening Breakfast, motorsports icon Travis Pastrana welcomed attendees with a lively discussion of his career hosted by Ralph Sheheen. Adding to the excitement, the inaugural class of the PRI Hall of Fame was introduced, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry.
The 2024 PRI Show is the largest trade show by footprint in the state of Indiana, filling the entire Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, boasting 1,000-plus exhibitors--including 161 first-time exhibitors--showcasing cutting-edge products and services that drive the motorsports industry forward. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore 199 featured products, 27 showcase vehicles and participate in 12 in-depth education sessions, 28 T.O.P.S. sessions and 34 exhibitor sessions covering topics essential to business and performance in the racing world.
Focus On the Business of Racing
The dynamic and rapidly evolving motorsports industry comes together annually at the PRI Show to celebrate innovation, share insights, and drive business growth. Earlier this year, PRI took a step in supporting that growth by releasing its inaugural "2024 State of the Racing Market Report." This groundbreaking resource highlights that track-use motorsports parts accounted for over $8 billion in U.S. sales in 2023, with 76% of racing businesses reporting a stable or improving market outlook. The report underscores positive momentum across the motorsports ecosystem, helping businesses navigate opportunities and challenges with data-driven insights.
"It has become imperative for Wilwood to exhibit at PRI because of the amount of racing we specialize in," said Michael Hamrick, Events and Promotions Manager for Wilwood Disc Brakes. "It's the one time of the year that we get to have face time with our customers and racers away from the track and discuss the past season of racing and get ready for the next season. We get everyone's full attention and can show them all of our newest products to help them meet their end goals either at their business or on the racetrack."
Affiliated Events Driving Engagement
Motorsports professionals gather at the PRI Show not only for its main attractions but also for an impressive array of affiliated events. These gatherings bring together thought leaders, industry pioneers, and passionate advocates to explore the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of motorsports. Affiliated events include the International Council of Motorsports Sciences (ICMS) Congress, Women with Drive–Driven by Mobil 1 (WWDIV), the Race Track Business Conference (RTBC) and the AERA/Engine Performance Industry Conference (EPIC). These events provide networking, education and professional development opportunities for all segments of the motorsports community.
Future-Focused Highlights
With an eye on innovation and the next generation of talent, the Show spotlights sim racing at the SIM Racing Arena Presented by SRO Motorsports Group and the U.S. Army, and the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow National Championship. These features not only showcase the dynamic intersection of technology, training and youth engagement in motorsports but also emphasize the importance of fostering skills that translate into real-world opportunities. Sim racing serves as a gateway for enthusiasts to explore motorsports, offering a hands-on introduction to racing dynamics and technical expertise, while supporting the growing eSports racing scene and providing training opportunities for on-track racers. Meanwhile, the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow program cultivates teamwork, mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities in young participants, inspiring them to pursue careers in the automotive and racing industries. Together, these initiatives highlight the event's commitment to cultivating a vibrant future for motorsports by blending passion, innovation and education.
"This year's Show is a testament to the creativity and passion that define our industry," said PRI General Manager Jim Liaw. "With hundreds of exhibitors, exciting featured products, and a strong focus on future opportunities like sim racing, we're showcasing the full spectrum of what makes motorsports thrive. We're proud to provide this platform for innovation and collaboration."
For those unable to attend the business-only event, the MotorTrend Network will air the 2024 Performance Racing Industry Special, a one-hour primetime special, bringing viewers unparalleled access to the Show. The Performance Racing Industry Special premieres February 12, 2025, on MotorTrendTV. It will also be available to stream on-demand through Discovery+ and Max.
The PRI Show attracts attendees from all 50 states and all over the world, including professional race teams, retail shops, warehouse distributors, engine builders, fabricators, dealers, installers, jobbers and media.
