GMS Racing, JR Motorsports To Create Joint Driver Development Program

NASCAR Xfinity Series teams GMS Racing and JR Motorsports will announce a new, joint driver development program.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., the co-owner of JR Motorsports and two-time Daytona 500 winner, will join Mike Beam of GMS Racing to announce the lineup of drivers during an announcement at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Thursday, July 24 at 11:30 a.m.

JR Motorsports, which won last year’s NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, currently employs development drivers Zane Smith, Josh Berry and Adam Lemke. GMS Racing’s current development program consists of drivers Bronson Butcher and Justin Whapham.
