The new owners will rename the track Southern Ontario Motor Speedway.

“[Garry] and I would like to at this time to say thank you to our sponsors, staff, drivers, crews and fans for the last five years running South Buxton Raceway,” Sherry Lemesurier wrote on a post on the track’s Facebook page. “We would like to wish Henry and Marie the best of luck with South Buxton Raceway. We hope everyone can move on and support them.”

The track typically hosts weekly racing from May through September. Four classes made up its 2018 schedule: Thunderstocks, Mini Mods, Late Models and Modifieds.
