RacingJunk Honors Late Bobby Chalmers with Special Edition of the PRI T-Shirt

RacingJunks turns its annual t-shirt tradition into a tribute to a beloved member of the staff and the entire race community.

(North Adams, MASSACHUSETTS) -- RacingJunk, the flagship site of the Internet Brands Auto Classifieds group, was started as a way to support the grassroots race and performance community in its endeavors. In the past 26 years of business, that mission has meant a strong connection between the business and those involved with it. If you raced, you knew RacingJunk. The connection is special.  Sometimes, it’s more than that.

In July 2025, RacingJunk lost not just a fan and a supporter, but a beloved member of the RacingJunk staff when Business Development Manager Robert “Bobby” Chalmers passed away.  Bobby was a true enthusiast - a racer, wrencher, shop owner, and founder of RaceProWeekly magazine. Bobby lived and breathed the race world, coming to work for RacingJunk in 2020 as email manager and rising through the ranks to handle business development.

His loss was sudden and painful for all, from his father Bob Chalmers to his friends and community, and to the wider racing world. To pay tribute to that, RacingJunk is honoring his legacy in one of the best ways we know how – sharing his beloved Dirt Big Block Modified race car on the 2025 Performance Racing Industry giveaway shirt. 4000 shirts will be distributed over the three day trade show, all bearing that piece of Bobby’s legacy as a way to express our appreciation.

“The t-shirt giveaway is more than a promotion for us,” explains Scott Stetz, Director of Sales and Business Development. “People collect the t-shirts year after year, and return to get a new one. It’s part of the legacy of our involvement in the community and with the show. This seemed like a great way to cement Bobby Chalmers as part of that legacy.”

RacingJunk will be in Booth #2143 at the PRI Show, with shirts ready to go starting Thursday morning. Fans already know the drill – you have to put it on, and twice a day, the RacingJunk models will select two lucky winners wearing the shirt to receive $100 cash. Bobby helped choose winners each year that he worked for RacingJunk, and while his absence is deeply felt this year, we know he’d be thrilled to see his race car making a whole new set of rounds.
