Tillotson Racing Announces Its High Performance Drift Kart at PRI 2025

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — December 2025 — Tillotson Racing, a long-standing performance brand and creator of the T4 Series – one of the world’s fastest-growing four-stroke karting categories, is set to make one of the most anticipated announcements of the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show with the reveal of its high performance Drift Kart. As the world's first purpose-built drift kart that uses conventional kart set up options, it's suitable for both recreational and competition-level drift karting. The groundbreaking platform brings the adrenaline, angle, and style of full-scale drifting to karting through a high-performance yet accessible design developed in collaboration with top names in the drifting world.

The concept was originally sparked by Conor Shanahan — a two-time Red Bull Drift Masters Champion and longtime supporter of Tillotson’s T4 Series. Shanahan approached Tillotson with the idea of creating a kart that could authentically replicate the dynamics of professional drifting: controlled slides, aggressive angles, high-speed transitions, and durable components built for repeated impact and stress.

Over the past year, Tillotson engineers worked closely with Shanahan and several other well-known drift car racers to refine the kart through multiple development rounds, including tire compound experimentation, chassis restructuring, steering geometry revisions, and repeated durability testing. The result is a first-of-its-kind platform designed to turn drifting from a car-only sport into an accessible, affordable, and thrilling karting experience.
