2024 PRI Week Concludes With Final Day of PRI Show

The 2024 PRI Show wrapped on Saturday with another full day of new products, expert education and stunning activations, like the Goodyear & Mickey Thompson Experience in Lucas Oil Stadium. Attendees immersed themselves in both brand's rich motorsports history with display cars including the NASCAR Garage 56 Camaro, which competed in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, the ABB NASCAR EV Prototype and the TireRack.com One Lap of America-winning 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S in the Goodyear portion of the display, along with two off-road rock crawlers repping Mickey Thompson.

One of the off-roaders, the Hundt Motorsports 4400 Class Ultra4 rig, belongs to Chad Hundt, a Mickey Thompson-backed racer who recently collected his first big win at the 2024 Warn Racing Nationals in Davis, Oklahoma. Having his car on the PRI Show floor, the 10-year Ultra4 veteran said, was dream come true.

"We've been coming here for years," Hundt, who hails from Plymouth, Indiana, said. "I never would have thought my car would have been in the Show. It's pretty amazing."

Another big draw to Lucas Oil Stadium is the trailer display, the only place in the world where you can view and tour state-of-the-art racing trailers, motorcoaches, haulers, toter homes and transportation products from top providers in one dedicated space.

"It's a great marketing tool for us to get out there and show off new and exciting features and new things that we have in our inventory," said Chad Boespflug, vice president and sales manager at Flying A Motorsports, one of the trailer exhibitors located in Lucas Oil Stadium throughout the weekend. "And to connect, too, put a face with a name, a name with a face. It's great to connect with past customers and current customers."

Tens of thousands of attendees hit the rest of the Show floor to browse through the 1,000-plus exhibitors, who closed out what was--by all accounts--another successful PRI Show.

Chris Scribner of Scribner Plastics--a company that has been exhibiting at the PRI Show for as long as its been around--deemed it one of the best shows in recent memory.

"The quality of people is based off the quality of questions, and there have been a lot of quality questions," Scribner, the company's plant manager, said. "For us, this is the only Show that actually fits our standards of business."

This week's PRI Show has also allowed them to connect with future and existing Scribner Plastics distributors and educate end users not only on their products, but how to get their hands on a Scribner utility jug, funnel or container.

"When people come up and they're asking questions and trying to get educated on our product, not only can we educate them and why it's useful to them, but we can educate them on going through the proper distribution network," Scribner said. "That's what keeps motorsports alive."

Blake Robertson, owner of BR Motorsports and King Racing Products, used the PRI Show to debut several new sprint car products, including a new forged hub and adjustable Jacobs Ladder Bird Cage. Debuting the products in-person, he said, would allow the company to better gauge the resonance of the product with their customers and even plan for next year's show.

"I wanted to be able to track how much traffic we were going to get and how much playback we would get as far as sales," Robertson said. "I didn't want to put them online because I wouldn't' be able to do that. Being able to have them here, I'll know in the next 30 to 60 days, how many sets I've sold because they saw it at PRI."

The benefits of exhibiting at the PRI Show extend far beyond the confines of the Indiana Convention Center. For first-time exhibitor A1 Simulation, the weekend was a unique opportunity to connect with others in the burgeoning world of sim racing.

"It's great to be united with everyone here," Event Coordinator Phil Bonin said. "Everybody is just happy to be here."

They're also seeing the results of the industry's combined effort to grow one of the fastest-growing segments in motorsports.

"Everybody's working together, everybody's working in the same direction," he said. "The more everybody puts in the effort, the better it's going to be for everybody."

The PRI Show team, which begins working on next year's event this coming Monday, is already looking forward to seeing everyone for the 2025 PRI Show, December 11-13, in downtown Indianapolis. More details, including how to secure exhibit space, is available at performanceracing.com/tradeshow
